About

"Owning the Power to Control Your Destiny."

Hello, my name is Thati Segoatle and I blog about personal finance and investment. I'm a woman  who share a passion to help other women achieve their financial goals. I hope my personal financial stories and articles on this blog will inspire a deeper connection with you.

I am  also fascinated by the ability of technology to change the world. And so, I like celebrating and sharing information on women who are breaking the walls and disrupting their respective industries.

'When you learn, teach, when you get, give" - Maya Angelou
After spending almost half of my adult life working in broadcast finance media, I realised that the business language is so macho hence most women lack confidence in managing their money well. When I say manage their money well, I mean make their money work for them.
"When women are empowered with financial knowledge, they are more confident managers of their money and wealth."
Personal finance advice is pretty much the same for both men and women — but the information is easy to absorb if it comes from someone you can relate to, and often times people of the same gender have similar mindsets and struggles.

I decided to create this space for women where we can talk about money and how it empowers us.

I learned that personal finance is a topic that doesn’t need to be boring, or product/sales related. Nor do we need to talk about it as if we are hedge fund managers. Money affects everyone but it doesn't have to be complicated or stressful. And so, this site is to give you as a woman a step-by-step how-to on money, you know, like the girls do at the hair salon or at the dinner table. No jargon, no intimidating words, just the vital stuff you need to know, in a user-friendly language.

Whether you are seeking guidance through a financial crisis or your credit card payments are spiraling out of control or you simply can’t stop wasting money on luxuries, The Disruptors Blog has something for you. Your money can be motivating and empowering with the right tools and the right mindset.

No matter how captivating the financial content may be on this site, I ask that you not to mistake it with the advice of a qualified financial professional.
